Bohemian Island review*

*This post is sponsored by Bohemian Island | All opinions are my own

Hi guys so i was lucky enough to be sent two items to review from Bohemian Island.

If you haven't heard of Bohemian Island they are a company who sell and specialize in harem pants and festival style shorts with little pom poms on for adults and children. I don't know about you but harem pants are something i've always wanted but never knew where to get them so when i found Bohemian Island i was super excited!

Something that really made me smile when recieving these items was a little post card type thing that said for every purchase made on  Bohemian Island, they would donate part of the proceeds from your purchase to the soi dog foundaton. The soi dog foundation take care of stray dogs and cats on phuket Island.

I think that it's such a lovely idea and more companies should be doing amazing things like this with some of the money they make. I'm a massive animal lover, admitdely i have an obsession for dogs, so seeing they help them out only make me love Bohemian Island more as a company.

The first pair i got was the Black elephant print harem pants in standard size which are $27.50 or £22.57.  I would just like to mention Bohemian Island's customer service is amazing, i spoke to a lovely man called Scott who replied very quickly and did his very best to help. Not many companies customer service is at the same level as Bohemian Island's so i was impressed with the whole experience. It was easy and simple, none of that automated responce which some companies have. Just a friendly human ready to help, which personally i really like.

The Black elephant print harem pants are super soft, light weight and possibly the comfiest pair of pants i've ever worn. Since recieving these i've pretty much lived in them on a night! I also want to add they arrived within 2 weeks of ordering.

The description on the website for these pants says

"These majestic and precious creatures line the hills of Phuket Island, and our stunning Black Elephant Harem Pants are also covered in them!

Apart from being truly beautiful, our hand-stitched 100% cotton harems are seriously comfortable, lightweight and breathable.

They've a snugly fitting elasticated waistband and ankles, which mean these pants are one-size-fits-most, and look great on men, women and kids alike. Perfect for festivals, yoga, whilst on the beach or when sat around the campfire, we guarantee you're gonna fall in love with these. "

I couldn't agree more with the description, i can't fault these harem pants at all, the finish and quality of these harem pants are so good and for only £22.57 you can't really go wrong.

Below are some more images of the harem pants.

The photo's i got really don't do the pants justice as they are gorgeous!

Before i talk about the seccond item i recieved i'll include some photo's below

I am aware these harem pants don't go with the top im wearing but i found a really cool spot for photo's and there was nowhere i could change into the top i had planned for these pants. So i appologise but you get the idea of where i was going with this post.

The Beige Harem pants for me are more an in the house comfy pants usually paired with a PJ top however i have worn them out with a vest top which looked super cute!

Again these Beige Harem pants are £22.57 and the description for these on the website says

"Ooh boring Beige! How dull and unimaginative of us!

Well they might be slightly plain, but now you can wear the #comfiestpantsontheplanet just about EVERYWHERE!

Rock these 100% cotton beauties at work, to a wedding, a job interview or perhaps even on a first date! "

I don't know about you but i love how witty and down to earth these descriptions are of products on Bohemian Island.

A huge thankyou to Bohemian Island for sponsoring this post and genereally being an awesome company!

Stevie x

Your dreams can be reality

On Friday i probably got the most exciting phone call of my life.

As many of you know i'm doing a performing arts course, and recently i was given the opportunity to apply to act in a tv series on channel 4. I sent my details and headshot off to one of the biggest casting directors in the UK which was absolutly nerve wracking. I made the very first step to possibly starting my career as an actress which was insane!

For anyone who knows me, they'll tell you i've wanted to be an actress my entire life. I've acted in my fair share of amature plays and performances but never even step foot into the 'real' acting world.

A week had past since i sent the email off and if i'm honest i wasn't expecting anything to come from it.

And then friday happened.

I recieved a phone call from the casting agency letting me know they want me for an audition for one of the main character roles!?! So in two days time thats what i'll be doing. I'm beyond excited at the fact it could be the start of my career but i'm nervous too for the obvious reasons. Having never been involved in this kind of thing i don't really know what to expect or how the proceedure works.

The thing i'm most shocked about is that it could have been extras work, maybe even just one line which i would have been over the moon with. A main role audition is not what i was expecting at all.

All my life there's been people who say "you'll never get anywhere with acting", "you need loads of money to get anywhere with it". And for some people that maybe true but i've never been rich. I grew up in social housing properties and the likes of tesco value food or 'cheap' alternatives and nothing has changed since i live on my own. I live in a social housing property and still to this day very rarely buy food that's over £1 when i go shopping. Don't get me wrong i was provided for, i had a happy childhood and i wouldn't change anything because it's made me the person i am today.

This audition is a big 'sticking it to the man' to everyone who has ever said i won't get anywhere in acting because i'm not rich. It is possible.

I guess what i'm trying to say if you want something that badly it will happen eventually. If you put all your positive energy into something, at some point it will start to pay off. It won't happen over night - i've been acting in amature things on and off since i was 5, i'm 18 in just over 3 weeks.

If i don't end up getting the role for whatever reason i won't be disheartened because it's my first ever audition. And to me that's okay if i don't get it. Obviously i'd be ecstastic if i did but the fact a huge casting agency has noticed me and wants to even audition me is a massive deal. To some people it might not be a big deal but to me, well, i couldn't be prouder of myself.

I have LOTS of sponsored reviews coming up within this next week, it's a minimum of 5 reviews which you have to look forwards to.

Till my next post have a lovely day,

Stevie x

Allegra K review*

*This review is sponsored by Allegra K | All opinions are my own*

Hi guys! Apologies for not posting recently I've been super busy with college.

If you like my page on Facebook you will have seen i have a lot of exciting reviews coming very soon to this blog. Allegra K being one of them.

I was lucky enough to be sent three items to review from Allegra K.

The first item i will be reviewing is the Cut Out Back Sleeveless Romper featured in the first picture. The romper comes in three colours (red, navy blue and pale pink) in sizes ranging from XS to XL. Currently only the pale pink romper is in stock but if you send them an email at info@allegra-k.com the customer service team will help you with when it will be back in stock.

I got mine in a size S which would be $14.65 or £11.71, they also ship world wide and have an amazon store if you would prefer to order from there.

Unfortunately the romper is a bit too big for me as i'm only 5'0ft, so the body length was too long. However i can still wear this romper with a cute little belt and it fits a lot better. I'm so glad i can still wear the romper as it is so cute! It looks really classy and would be perfect styled with heels, pumps or even sandals for the summer.

I think this romper is great for daytime and evening as it can be styled in so many ways! I'm wearing it in all three photo's. It's super comfy and isn't restricting at all (in the past i've had some which were restricting).

Overall i really like this romper and it's become a recent wardrobe favorite of mine. Below are some more photo's of the romper.

The next item i am reviewing is the Floral Lace Trim Shorts featured in picture two at the beginning of my post. The Floral Lace Trim Shorts come in four different patterns (floral, paisley, cat heads and geometric print) Which size range from XS to XL, prices starting from $13.33 or £10.72 for the floral shorts.

I got the Floral Lace Trim Shorts in a size S which is $13.35 or £10.73, the shorts fit me perfectly and they have a sporty elastic waist to ensure comfort. The shorts aren't restrictive at all which i;m pleased about.

The best thing about these shorts is that the material used is so soft! Because they're soft and a fitted kind of baggy it means they are super comfy to wear. I could live in these shorts in the summer (providing Britian is sunny which isn't very often.).

The shorts again are perfect for both daytime and evening as they can be dressed up or down by styling it with heels, trainers or pumps.

Over all i really like the Floral Lace Trim Shorts, below are some more photo's

Last but not least i have the Buttoned A-line Skirt featured in picture three. The Buttoned A-line Skirt comes in just the beige colour and are only available in XS or XL however, i got mine in a M so you can email their customer service team for when sizes are being restocked. Prices start from $16.91 or £13.61.

The  Buttoned A-line Skirt is unfortunately too big on me unless i tuck a jumper into it or wear a belt. I can thankfully still wear the skirt so i'm happy about that as it's got that 70s vibe but is classy enough to pass off as a 90s indie outfit. I haven't really played around with styling this skirt but i do know it looks amazing with heels and boots.

I think this skirt is a summer and autumn type of skirt which i really like about it. The material is suede so it's a fairly thick skirt. I think it's really flattering and it's also comfortable to wear without restricting me.

I really like this item and will have lots of fun pairing outfits with the Buttoned A-line Skirt, below are some more images

I am aware these items are more of a summer collection, it was freezing outside when taking these photos but i'm really happy with the outcome.

A big thank you to Allegra K for sponsoring this post and to these edgy kids who came a long to do the photo's which Megan took (she has a blog). Ethan and Connor are also in the photo above.

Expect to have a lot more posts coming your way as i have lots to review at the moment which is super exciting.

Till my next post,

Stevie x
